LASER MARKING
Laser marking
This machine was commissioned to perform 100% quality control inspections on a production line, reject failed parts and lasermark passed components.
Products would be fed into the machine on a conveyor belt. The machine would weigh each product, accurate to 0.01g in order to determine if it had been assembled correctly or if any parts were missing. Failed parts would then be ejected from the machine.
Products that pass the QC inspection will be moved on to the next stage. Here a machine vision system will perform an additional quality check and determine which product has been placed in the machine and find what orientation the product is in. The machine will then laser etch the relevant information onto the product regardless of what orientation it was placed into the machine. A final QC check is performed to confirm the laser option was successful, and the part is then ejected from the machine.
